Manish Chandra – Ayurvedic Doctor
Growing up in Nepal, Manish was exposed to Ayurveda from an early age, creating a foundation for his deep connection to this time tested medical system. He combines the traditional system of Ayurveda with modern biological system’s approach to health and healing.
Manish is a board certified Ayurvedic Doctor by National Ayurvedic Medical Association, USA after earning a masters degree from Mount Madonna Institute, College of Ayurveda in 2012.
His signature evidence-based Gut Healing Protocol, which is intended to heal the community one gut at a time, integrates yoga, meditation, and pranayama (yogic breathing exercise) based on his dedicated studentship of Yoga and Ayurveda for a holistic result.

As a trained Acupuncturist and Herbalist, and as a Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork Teacher Trainer & Coach, Emily is committed to empowering heart-led leaders to rock their purpose. Known for her down-to-earth approach as well as her unique insight & deep truths, Emily takes her decades of experience and study in numerous wisdom traditions and offers accessible and real-world-ready insight.

Erik Burns – Designer, Founder of Healify
Erik Burns is the founder and lead designer for Healify, a new hybrid online/offline social network designed to help you achieve your wellness goals and live your best life.
Erik is an award-winning interaction designer, having created digital experiences improving the lives of over 10 million people worldwide. He is also the son of David D. Burns, author of the multi-million copy best-seller Feeling Good, a seminal work in the field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
His talk “The Neuroscience of Ayurveda: Aligning your Daily Habits for a Positive Life” was one of Santa Cruz Ayurveda’s best attended lecture series. Erik is honored to present his latest creation to you, and excited to help you deepen into your joy.
Destiny Morley – Yogini, Sound Bath Healer
Destiny is a devoted yogi, mother, birth worker, and sound healer who offers tools and guidance from her heart. Through years of self practice and learned wisdom from her beloved teachers and guides, Destiny has learned to weave her knowledge and understanding of the divine through all that she offers.
Destiny is based in Monterey County and has been teaching weekly for the past 4 years. She is a certified yoga instructor, self empowerment trainer, doula, and facilitator whose true work lies in her practice of seva (selfless service).
Destiny uses many different healing modalities to help guide and harmonize our connection to ourselves and our surroundings. She believes through balancing our inner worlds, we begin to balance our outer worlds.
Alex Clarke, MD – Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist
Alex Clarke, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist and psychotherapist. He is Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Stanford University School of Medicine and runs a diverse private practice treating a broad range of mental health conditions.
He has advanced training in psychopharmacology and has trained extensively in several psychotherapy modalities, including Dr. David Burn’s TEAM-CBT, Dr. Aaron Beck Institute’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, and Dr. David Yapko’s Clinical Hypnosis & Strategic Psychotherapy.
Alex is a teacher and trainer in evidence-based approaches to mental health treatment and is actively involved in academic research to improve treatment progress tracking and outcomes in mental health care. He currently functions as the Head of Medical Science at Healify, Inc.
Sydni Hughes – Nutritional Health Coach
Sydni is a certified nutritional health coach that studied nutrition and Ayurveda at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. She started her business, Mountain Wellness, which focuses on healing the root cause of disease while also maintaining the fundamentals of Ayurveda.
While pursuing a more in depth education in Ayurveda, she has become increasingly passionate in helping people find an individual healing practice. She began working with Manish at Santa Cruz Ayurveda and together the two are working hard to expand the wellness community and make Ayurveda accessible to everyone.
Born and raised in Santa Cruz, she has a passion for the ocean and all things nature. She strives to help men and women find their inner power to heal in a holistic, authentic way that is true to human nature.
