Join us on April 4th for our Ayurvedic Cooking Workshop. Includes a vegan and gluten free Ayurvedic meal at the end.
In this workshop you will participate in cooking with Ayurvedic principles. You will learn how the use of herbs and spices can be used to enhance digestion and assimilation.
In order to understand how to choose food according to your needs and body type and to learn the basic Ayurvedic ways of cooking, it is essential to perceive the central working principles of Ayurveda.
Ever go into a grocery store (especially the spices and herbs sections) and feel overwhelmed and lost? You know something might be good for you but you don’t know why or how? In this workshop we will break down the Ayurvedic principles of common kitchen spices and herbs and introduce traditional Ayurvedic Herbs. You’ll learn how to best use and cook them and then be able to eat them with our Ayurvedic Lunch! This will also include an introduction to Ayurveda.
Ayurveda, the science of life, encompasses the healing of body, mind and spirit through diet, lifestyle and rejuvenation. Ayurveda can prove much insight about which foods will suit and balance each individual, how to prepare and cook these foods properly and how to avoid combinations that will create toxins in the body. ~Dr. Vasant Lad
