Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus)
The root of “one hundred husbands” is India’s most precious female reproductive tonic, known for it’s remarkable abilities to enhance fertility and libido, harmonize the menstrual cycle and increase lactation in mothers. Shatavari has a strong affinity for the uterus, but it also is touted for balancing female hormones, strengthening the immune system, and moisturising the lungs, kidneys, and digestive tract.
Shatavari is also an adaptogen that acts upon the pituitary gland and the HPA (hypothalamic pituitary adrenal) axis. This means that it naturally brings the body back into hormonal balance, and is “particularly nourishing to a weakened and depleted immune system” (Herbal Reality, 2020).

Strongly reduces Pitta due to its cooling and soothing qualities.
